Yester, Yester Pro and Yester Max differ only in how far back you can go — 90 days, 1 year or 5 years. Priced per Mac by built-in storage.
Every plan backs up the whole Mac, every hour
Plans don’t change what is backed up or how often. They change how far back you can go for older versions and deleted files, and what kind of help you get.

Priced per Mac, by built-in storage
The price depends on the Mac’s built-in storage, not on how much you use: 512 GB, 1 TB, 2 TB, 4 TB or 8 TB. Yester reads the size at setup. Plan prices are shown as plain totals on the pricing page. Yearly billing is ten months — two months free.
What “kept while paid” means
The current state of everything you pay for is kept for as long as you pay, connected or not. The plan window governs only history: an older version, or a file you deleted, stays restorable until it passes the window. Yester thins history as it ages (hourly for a day, daily for a month, weekly after that) so a five-year window is a year-by-year record, not 43,000 hourly copies.
“Go back as far as” on the Overview screen shows the actual date you can reach on your plan.
Fair use on Yester Max
Yester Max keeps up to five times your Mac’s built-in storage in version history. Almost nobody gets near it; if you do, Yester tells you before anything changes. Details are in the terms.
Changing plan
Switch plans from the account page or Devices & Plan in the app. Moving up extends the window from that day; moving down shortens it, and versions past the new window are removed on the normal schedule.
Drives
Drives have no plan of their own: £6.99 per TB a month, kept while paid, versions following your longest Mac plan (at least 90 days). See External drives.
Replacing a Mac
When you restore a backup onto a new Mac, the new Mac takes over the old Mac’s subscription line and its whole history. Nothing is paid twice.
